Come and join Roop from RAMP in the Mid Devon Countryside at the newly established Devon Applied Arts Workshop. Set in rolling fields outside Silverton, between Exeter and Tiverton, the space is a well heated, purpose-built studio workshop for the Applied Arts with wheelchair access and ample parking.

  8 WEEK CLASS – Roop will introduce you to a range of core processes of making and decoration in clay. These will include hand building with molds, slabs, coils and pinch pots. The potter’s wheel will be available also so you can try your hand at this. We will cover decoration, exploring textures impressed into the clay, slipware techniques and glazes at Earthenware and Stoneware temperatures. By the end of the classes you will have made and decorated at least three items which will be fired and available to pick up after the course has finished. This course is aimed at beginners but all are welcome no matter you’re your experience of ceramics is. The aim of the classes is to learn new skills in a relaxing, informal, well-equipped studio with friends or new people. Unleash some creative energy and get hands on with the clay. Â
